Burnt Hills Nursery School

BHNS is a non-profit organization, which operates with the purpose to enrich the lives of three, four and five year old children, as well as their parents. Burnt Hills Nursery School has been serving families in the Burnt Hills area since 1952. BHNS is owned and funded by parents.

Parental Responsibilities: Because we are a cooperative nursery school, parents are required to help in the classroom. There is one professional Teacher and two helping parents in each class everyday. It is very important to our schools success as well as to the safety of the children that parents fulfill this obligation. In general, each parent will help in the classroom every 4-6 weeks. The helping parents are required to provide a healthy snack/drink as well as cups,napkins, and a trash bag.

Parents are also required to fulfill 6 maintenance hours to help keep the school in great condition.
